the truck

On our way to Great Falls a couple of days before Christmas we wrecked our yellow truck.  We were going to Walmart to hit up couple sells they were having (but we have since learned that they never have the sell item in stock, very frustrating)! As we were leaving Conrad about 4 miles out of town there was a blanket of fog covering the area from there to great falls.  We got 30 miles away and came up a hill and started to slide.  We had the cruize control set so we quickly lost control of the vehicle.  We fish tailed a couple of times then ran off the road.  James said a couple of times as he was trying to regain contorl hold on, hold on.  I remember looking back and checking Araya to make sure she would be ok, hoping she would be.  I braced my self as best as I could, then James managed to steer clear of the huge street sign missing it by inches.  We hit the fence along the side of the freeway taking out an H frame and 3 more posts.  It could have been so much worse than it was.  We were being looked after for sure. I am so glad we didn't roll, we all walked away without a scratch.  It took the highway patrol 45 mins to get to us.  While James was in the car (15 mins) filling out the report there were calls of 3 more accidents.  It was a very bad day to travel.  There were 4 wrecks with in an hour and a couple of miles of our location.  They brought in dirt to put on the road as we were heading out of town back home.  Luckily our truck was still driveable.  We hit the H frame perfectly having one post on either side of the tire just causing damage to the bed of the truck and not the tire.
