Sunday night we went over to a friends house for dinner, but before we left we decided to leave the dogs outside since it was halfway warm. They have been cooped up in the house since it started snowing and we thought it would be good for them to go outside and run around. After dinner we went straight to the church for a fireside that James had to set up and preside over. It was a broadcast from Salt Lake for adults 18-30. Well there is us and another couple in our ward that are in this age bracket, and they were out of town so we were the only ones there. It was really nice to not to have to worry about Araya disrupting any one else. The fire side was great, it talked about living up to our expectation and raising a family. They said that a child is like a computer, what they learn by 8 years old they probably will stay that way for life. They also mentioned that children take in the most information when they are between ages 2-3. Wow was both of our reactions. The weight of being a good parent and the importance of teaching them has really begun to sink in. It is a huge responsibility and hopefully we will be able to teach our kids the things they need to learn to help them in life. After the fireside we came home to discover our dogs were missing. Great such a bad end to a great day. The snow had drifted close to the top of the fence and they were able to step over it easily! Precious had just come into heat so we weren't very happy about them being out. We both got in different cars and headed out to look for them. It was about 7pm and we continued to look for then for another hour. We decided to come home and prop open the gate in case they got tired and decided to come home. We continued to drive up and down all the streets and ally ways looking for them, it didn't help that it was dark! 30 minutes later I came home and there they were, sitting on the front porch wanting to go inside.
